Description

These Churro Cheesecake Bars are the ultimate fusion of two beloved desserts: creamy cheesecake and cinnamon-sugar churros. With a buttery crescent roll crust, a rich cheesecake filling, and a crispy cinnamon-sugar topping, these bars are irresistibly delicious and perfect for any occasion. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

For the Cheesecake Filling

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

For the Topping

  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the dish, pinching the seams together to form a solid layer.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the egg and mix until fully combined. Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the crescent dough layer.
  3. Add the Top Layer
Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it over the cheesecake filling, pressing the seams together to seal. Brush the top with melted butter.
  4. Prepare the Cinnamon-Sugar Topping
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the crescent dough.
  5. Bake
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake layer is set.
  6. Cool and Serve
Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

Notes

  1. Chill for Clean Slices: For neater slices, refrigerate the bars for 1-2 hours before cutting.
  2. Add a Drizzle: Drizzle with caramel sauce or chocolate syrup for an extra indulgent touch.
  3. Customize the Topping: Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the cinnamon-sugar topping for a unique twist.
