- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional, for extra depth)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ½ cups crispy fried onions, divided
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep – Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). If using fresh green beans, blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain. If using frozen, thaw and drain.
- Mix the Base – In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until well blended.
- Assemble the Casserole – Fold in the green beans and 1 cup of crispy fried onions. Mix well and transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake & Top – Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven, stir, and sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of crispy fried onions evenly on top.
- Final Bake – Return to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the topping is golden and crispy.
